Clinton County Kentucky

February 20, 1835, Clinton County was formed from Cumberland and Wayne counties in southern Kentucky. This has caused some confusion for me when birthplaces are listed as different counties depending on the record.

For a full formation map of Kentucky see here – The Clinton addition is visible when 1834 and then 1836 are clicked.

The county seat of Clinton, Kentucky is Albany.

A fire in 1864 and another in 1980 have destroyed most vital records from the county. (reference)

There is record of a Snow, Kentucky – map here and information here.
